We are looking for a Senior Writer for a new digital subscription product aimed at corporate legal and compliance teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to write regular content for a global audience of compliance professionals.

You will be expected to establish a deep knowledge of the world of compliance and build a contacts book of compliance officers and general counsel to generate leads and interview opportunities.

Your writing will need to be in a style and tone that cuts through jargon and spin to deliver accessible informative content on subjects that are critical to helping compliance teams of multinational companies manage regulatory risk.

What you would be doing:

  • Identify and produce content targeted at multinational compliance officers and general counsel
  • Write regular content of a high technical and editorial standard for online platform and news briefing
  • Network at events
  • Keep abreast of global legal and regulatory updates and trends in the world of compliance
  • Liaise closely with company’s legal content team to help refine and enhance the content proposition
  • Undertake major projects at editor’s request
  • Agree and hit all internal deadlines


What we are looking for:

  • At least a year of full-time, paid experience as a journalist
  • Minimum of a 2:1 degree from a leading university
  • Postgraduate law or journalism degree is preferable
  • Experience of writing on legal or regulatory topics
  • Knowledge of compliance is preferred
  • Strong interest in current affairs, international business and legal reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to provide a deep analysis and insight for our readership, with the ability to find original angles in stories
  • Demonstrable aptitude for meeting deadlines
  • An international outlook
