Aviation News Ltd, a well-established established events and publishing company, which this year won the Queen’s Award for International Trade 2019 recognising six year of unbroken growth, is seeking an experienced financial journalist to join its team to work across its stable of online and print publications (www.aviationnews-online.com).


Based at offices in Staffordshire, this is a full-time role for an experienced writer to report on all aspects of big ticket and corporate financing for both online and print publications.

The ideal candidate will understand how large ticket items are funded, from bank debt to equity and debt capital market transactions, as well as an understanding of aviation finance and operating leasing.

The ideal candidate will be required to build and maintain a substantial contacts book at all of the active banks and other companies involved in asset financing both to expand on public stories but also to generate off-diary news.

You will be require to interview - in person, over the phone, and on camera - senior executives for news and profile pieces. You will also report from our conferences held around the world and assist with the global awards process.

There is also ample opportunity for the right candidate to report on other areas of the aviation industry as well as contribute to more consumer-focused publications.

The successful candidate will be bursting with ideas for interesting and exciting features. You will be required to attend industry events around the world including exhibitions and conferences to report on site and to develop more contacts and future feature ideas.

This is a challenging and demanding role, but the rewards include the chance to travel the world to cover the biggest and most important asset finance stories.

Ideally, you will already be an experienced journalist who excels at working to deadlines and who understands the importance of accuracy and the editorial production process.
