Are you an ambitious account Manager or Senior Account Manager frustrated by a lack of autonomy or excessive red tape in a big or small PR agency? This company is looking for a confident AM/SAM with a background in consumer tech and lifestyle who is keen to join a close-knit, creative team working with a range of exciting start-ups from the UK, Scandinavia and Europe, as well as the US.

With a strong focus on harnessing and setting the news agenda, candidates will need to have a good understanding of the UK and international media landscape.

The Role

  • You will need to provide robust account direction and team management, but lead by example and still be ready and willing to roll your sleeves up
  • Overall client servicing and planning (including the ability to manage client expectations if necessary)
  • Actively listen to client needs and communicate this to the tech, business and lifestyle teams
  • Coach, mentor and support junior team members
  • Reporting directly to the AD of the Consumer division as well as the MD, ensuring that internal communication within the agency runs smoothly
  • Take an active role in pitches for new business prospects and potential clients
  • International travel is likely to be a regular feature of the role

Experience

  • A real passion and understanding for consumer technology and how this translates into both business and lifestyle PR
  • 3+ years' experience and a proven track record in running consumer/B2B campaigns
  • The ability to think on your feet and respond to breaking news stories on behalf of clients in a fast and creative manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled team manager and mentor
  • Confident in fronting accounts and giving strategic counsel to clients
  • Experienced in handling new business and onboarding new clients
