PR Account Executive (Global Technology)

My client, one I've worked with and placed with several times in their phase of growth over the past three years, is currently looking for a seasoned JAE/ AE to join their technology practice. With a focus on developing international media relations strategies for global client bases within the start-up space you can ultimately change the direction and success of a business from a start-up business to a million pound entity through your selected targeting on global media strategies.

What your day shall look like...

• Help with planning and delivering media strategies for their clients
• Raise the profile of client key staff (both Founders/CEOs and interesting people within an organisation) within technology and national media
• Develop contributed content for inclusion within technology titles on behalf of their clients
• Attend client and new business meetings in the UK, Scandinavia, and USA

You should:

• Be someone with strong interpersonal skills, who prides themselves on organisation, time management and forward planning
• Be proactive when it comes to creative ideas and contributing to strategy
• Have some copy-writing skills
• Be able to proactively offer ideas on how best to react to newsworthy stories within the news agenda, as well as on how to leverage and repurpose existing client content to generate coverage
• Be enthusiastic and genuinely excited about their clients (apps, tech focused plaforms etc)
• Have a keen interest in the interlinked nature of the news cycle, social media, and tech trends

Job specifics

• Researching and assisting in the preparation and distribution of press releases, contributed articles, and reactive comment
• Working alongside an Account Manager to keep all materials and campaigns organised - logging coverage, creating reports, generating press lists, keeping the team organised
• Selling-in stories to the media*
• Contributing to creative brainstorms and campaign ideas for clients
• Helping to prepare weekly client updates and reports
