Job Details

A prestigious bank in the City has an excellent opportunity for a Junior DTP (desktop publishing) Operator to join its Production Department.

Working in a small team, you will be responsible for the formatting of reports and presentations, running final document checks, liaising with external printers and ensuring all is correct during the production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Formatting of research reports using Word and Excel, adhering at all times to established house style.
  • Formatting of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Final document checks and publishing of research reports to clients, the company’s website and to other online publishers.
  • Coordinating the hard-copy printing of published research, liaising with external printers.
  • Close communication with the editors, analysts, content software and research assistants, to ensure procedures have been followed correctly during the production process for all published research.


Qualifications:

  • At least six months‘ experience in a DTP/Production based role.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Equity research knowledge is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
  • A proven ability to create or reformat charts and work with financial data.
  • A strong capability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work productively in a small team with a high pressure environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and a flexible attitude to working hours (the department is run on a shift system, alternating between 6am-3pm and 9.30am-6.30pm shifts).
