We have a great opportunity for an experienced Digital Content Editor to join our Content Agency to help generate and deliver on-brand, first-class digital content for ASDA.

You will be supporting the Head of Content in creating and executing a content plan that delivers ASDA’s business needs in an editorial, consumer-facing way. 

KEY DUTIES:

  • To support the delivery of a digital content strategy with the Head of Content to meet the client’s business objectives. To help generate high volume traffic, drive engagement and help boost Asda brand sentiment. 
  • To ensure that the expected volume of daily content is met, that all editorial content is written and edited to a high standard, is brand appropriate and meets the needs of the client.
  • To generate and write up daily unique content ideas as well as contribute monthly ideas based on seasonal events and Asda’s objectives.
  • To work closely with account managers to ensure Asda’s objectives are met.
  • To ensure the website delivers a consistent look and feel and TOV. To ensure the team are aware of the digital vision.
  • To adhere to daily timed schedules. 
  • To react swiftly to ad hoc and reactive client requests and juggle business as usual content with high priority requests.
  • To ensure promotion of Asda product is included in all content and to the widest possible online audience.
  • To monitor competitor websites and social activities to keep abreast of new ideas and trends, and to be aware of the competitive set across all platforms.
  • To manage Asda’s Pinterest account in line with the content plan and Asda’s business objectives. To generate original ideas to drive engagement and traffic from Pinterest to Asda Good Living.
  • To keep abreast of new social innovations which could be applied to Asda.
  • To represent the brand, where appropriate, attending relevant requests 


ABOUT YOU

Essential:

  • Substantial digital experience on a big brand
  • Ability to present strategic web ideas
  • Excellent working knowledge of SEO
  • Substantial experience of various CMS and social media platforms 
  • Substantial experience of using Google Analytics and Omniture
  • Ability to generate and translate ideas and concepts into first class digital news and features
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to deal with high volumes of work accurately and to deadline
  • Strong communication skills and a good team leader
  • Enthusiastic and with a ‘can-do’ attitude. 


Desirable

  • Experience on a contract publishing brand
  • Knowledge of video editing and production
