Purpose of role:

This is an exciting, game-changing role in magazine publishing: the chance to be part of the award-winning Sunday Times Style beauty team while also being offered the opportunity to be talent managed by News UK’s influencer marketing agency, The Fifth.

You will have the opportunity to work with the best photographers, MUA’s and talent in the industry; create video content in our state of the art studios and forge strong relationships with luxury brands, while also growing your audience and maximising your commercial potential.

Editorial requirements:

• Three days a week in the Sunday Times offices, plus one evening a week at event/launches
• One year fixed contract as a News UK employee, with all News UK benefits
• A digital first role with the task of keeping Style Beauty alive seven days a week across all platforms.
• Making regular videos for our video-only channel Style Play and for YouTube.
• Partnering with brands to create branded video content
• To pitch daily current and newsworthy ideas that spark engagement for digital platforms
• To be on top of beauty SEO searches, monitor digital content performance, produce content insights, and pitch additional ideas based on results.
• To report to the beauty director and work closely to produce the beauty section.
• To write online content including the Style weekly newsletter
• To represent Style at luxury advertiser launches, trips and evening events
• To work closely on in-house events such as The Style Beauty Awards
• To write main features when required

The Fifth (News UK’s Influencer marketing agency) will...

• Invite you to discuss representation by The Fifth talent agency, for the provision of social brand partnerships, endorsements and publishing deals. 
• Support you with social audience verification, reporting and audience development (incl. free subscription to Q-83)
• Support you with content format development for your social channels. Incl. the building of new content IP, publishing & licensing agreements. 
• Support you with brand PR with marketing across all Fifth agency channels

 
 
As Style Deputy Beauty Editor you will...

• Add your new job title to your social profiles and link to Style platforms. 
• Represent Style and the Fifth at all invited events at no additional charge
• Convert your social platforms to a Business account
• Publish Style editorial content across owned social media channels at no additional fee
• Publish Style commercial content campaigns with which you feature, across owned social media channels at an additional fee
