1843, Senior Editor
1843, The Economist’s bi-monthly sister magazine, is looking for a senior editor to work full time in our London office.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at The Economist and be part of a team responsible for narrative journalism online and in print.
We are looking for a dedicated journalist and rigorous, experienced editor to commission and edit long-form features, profiles and the 1843 Interview.
You will also shape ideas and cultivate new writers for other features for print and online.
You will have great contacts, experience of wrangling writers and interviewees and fantastic ideas, as well as a good visual sense and interest in design.
The successful applicant will work with a highly professional team, and will be expected to have an interest in, and ideas for, all parts of the publication.
