Bridge Studio is the strategic content agency for The Bridge, the commercial sales department at News UK. 

We create campaigns for our clients and agencies that harness emotions to change how people think, feel and act around commercial brands. We do this by telling stories that entertain, excite and inspire the audience reached by all News UK’s news-brands across all platforms.

The Team

The creative lead team is made of editors, creative producers and journalists who think up and deliver the best blend of editorial, branding, social sharing and interactive content. 

Our team is truly multi-disciplined with expertise across print, video, radio, digital, events and social.

Your Role

The creative lead will work across multiple campaigns and partnerships to maximise effectiveness in terms of raising awareness of the brands, and engaging our News UK target audiences. 

The creative lead is responsible for generating brilliant ideas and storytelling; from client brief to pitch through to sale and delivery.

Day to day you will:

  • Generate, develop and produce original ideas and content strategy to client and agency briefs
  • Be client facing, attend client pitches and contributes to building strong client and agency relationships in conjunction with Project Management and Sales.
  • Determine the best ideas/stories/angles to deliver the needs of each campaign and establish the correct tone of voice for engaging the target audience
  • Commission writers /creatives, negotiates and secures talent contracts
  • Be a truly platform agnostic when developing content ideas and has the ability to make content work cross platform with due consideration for both commercial brand effectiveness and audience user journey
  • Work with data and insight to build a strategy for why a creative idea will work and deliver for clients and brands
  • Be an expert in all of the relevant News UK news brands, their platforms and distribution channels– how they work, what audience they reach, how best to use them
  • Take responsibility for editorial costs budget for campaigns and reports regularly to Project Management
  • Builds successful relationships and gain the respect and trust of clients & internal stakeholders


What we are looking for from you:

  • Excellent story telling ability to generate and develop ideas that work cross platform for brands and resonate with audiences
  • Proven ability in managing and shaping a brief from conception to execution with good copy writing skills
  • Experience in a creative discipline; particularly editing, writing and commissioning content and talent for print, digital, social and other platforms
  • Experience in presenting and pitching with good communication skills, and the ability to explain a concept or idea clearly and succinctly to clients and internal/external stakeholders
  • Have a solid understanding of the commercial content market and how to produce content for commercial brands, clients and agencies
  • Be well versed in social media-specific concepts with an understanding of execution formats and creative best practice for social media networks; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn and YouTube
