Military History Matters magazine is looking for an Assistant Editor to join its editorial team.

The successful candidate will be ambitious and hard-working, and be a talented writer and researcher.

You should have some experience of editing and be looking for your next career challenge. A keen interest in history and a demonstrable understanding of the subject is essential, a degree in the subject is desirable.

Military History Matters is a high-quality, informative and engaging title and you will need to be a strong all-rounder who can work to deadlines, write lively copy and commission and edit features for this 84-page magazine.

Other responsibilities include forward-planning, producing flatplans, picture research, budgeting, updating the website and social media, and liaising with other departments regarding all aspects of the brand.
