Job Details

Standard Online is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced showbiz reporter to join a team to cover TV, Film and social platforms and all the biggest celebrity news stories.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be confident in pitching and spotting great stories and interesting angles, from original content to trending stories ahead of competitors
  • Being confident in covering live events and securing exclusives


Skills and experience:

  • Strong news sense and passion for TV, Film and social entertainment news
  • At least two years’ experience reporting on entertainment for a digital media outlet
  • Excellent attention to detail for spelling and grammar as well having a lively and engaging writing style
  • Ability to work fast and deliver content to a high standard under pressure
  • Good contacts and social skills to secure content
  • Being able to conduct interviews including on camera
  • Pro-active and on board to be flexible with shift patterns including some weekend’s to cover big TV shows and events
  • Video editing is a bonus
