Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate overall calendar and roadmap planning: cross-functional initiatives into specific workstreams, help teams define scope, deliverables and schedules, and coordinate activation across multiple teams for multiple stakeholders for our events.
  • Maintain consistent communication with each function-coordinate weekly 1:1s to understand how their functions work and build it into the larger calendar.
  • Strategically Identify pain points within the process and work to find solutions to benefit the process.
  • Work closely with SVP of Operations on how to capture insights and use them to inform decisions for future projects.
  • Work closely with the SVP of Operations on finance to coordinate event budget forecasting and tracking, making sure all teams have the budget needs to support each Event.
  • Work closely with other Live Journalism functions to create and track ROIs.
  • Work with teams on the event P&L, outlining both external and internal cost associated with all Events.
  • Ensure the Scope of Work and any legal documentation relating to Events are completed and closed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure internal/external communication is uniform and focused.
  • Determine the objectives and measurements upon which the Event will be evaluated at its completion.
  • Ensure quality control.
  • Make sure that all communication from all parties is logged and that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
  • Monitor the progress of our Events and suggest adjustments as necessary to ensure success.
  • Ensure that we produce experiences and work we are proud of, holding all parties accountable.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or work equivalent
  • Experience in events, production or creative agency with a strategic focus
  • Previous experience in scaling businesses is a plus
  • Proven ability to assist on large-scale, complex projects end to end
  • Outstanding communication skills with comfort presenting to senior leadership
  • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiating skills, and ability to work in high-stress situations
  • Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
  • A proven history of delivering high-quality output, on time and within budget
