About Us

Established in 1994, *Research is an editorially independent publisher of authoritative news, analysis and comment on research policy, research funding and higher education. Our teams cover everything from R&D policy, to new funding schemes, to open-access publishing.

Our Europe online news service and fortnightly magazine Research Europe is essential reading across universities, funding agencies, governments, parliaments and learned societies, while Research Fortnight occupies a similar role in the UK.

We provide updates by email for more than 200,000 paid-for online subscribers. In short, we are at the centre of many debates at the intersection of science and politics.

*Research is owned by Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, which is a leading global provider of cloud-based, knowledge-sharing solutions to academic institutions.

At Ex Libris, we believe in the value of education and research. Our mission is to allow academic institutions to create, manage, and share knowledge. With better tools, our customers achieve their goals and further academic initiatives.
