Job Details
The Wall Street Journal is seeking a standards and ethics editor. This editor is the focal point for maintaining the high journalism standards of the global news staff of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires.
The editor oversees a standards staff of five. Duties include involvement in the preparation and pre-publication review of high-impact and sensitive reporting, resolution of post-publication issues, ethics training for Wall Street Journal journalists around the world, and working with commercial colleagues on ventures to help assure newsroom standards are maintained.
The standards and ethics editor will also help ensure newsroom compliance with the Dow Jones Code of Conduct and work closely with Dow Jones media attorneys. Broad news experience and comfort with making hard decisions are necessary.
The position reports to the Editor in Chief of The Wall Street Journal.
