The Dow Jones Newswires team in New York seeks a Web-savvy financial journalist to help manage the digital homepage of The Wall Street Journal's professional investor service.

The successful candidate will demonstrate urgency about market-moving news and will understand the needs of institutional investors, hedge funds, financial advisers and other market professionals.

In addition, we are looking for someone who knows how to curate content for Web and mobile applications to create a compelling and visually engaging user experience.

The NewsPlus team of editors are responsible for real-time compilation of numerous industry and regional story collections that include the most important market news and analysis from Dow Jones Newswires, The Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch.

With an eye to promoting the best professional-user experience, the position requires meticulous attention to real-time headlines and the ability discern which ones warrant subscriber alerts.

The role includes compiling a daily Canadian newsletter and market briefings for Australia and Asia, as well as choosing images for certain feeds of stories.

An understanding of financial markets is a prerequisite for the job and previous experience with digital and/or mobile platform management is desired.
