The Wall Street Journal is a global news organization that provides leading news, information, commentary and analysis. The Wall Street Journal engages readers across print, digital, mobile, social, and video. Building on its heritage as the preeminent source of global business and financial news, the Journal includes coverage of U.S. and world news, politics, arts, culture, lifestyle, sports, and health. It holds 36 Pulitzer Prizes for outstanding journalism. The Wall Street Journal is published by Dow Jones, a division of News Corp (NASDAQ: NWS, NWSA; ASX: NWS, NWSLV).

The Wall Street Journal is seeking a reporter to cover the National Football League. The job involves both covering the NFL season as it unfolds and developing creative and often counter-intuitive features about the most popular sport in the U.S. That encompasses stories on many fronts: the culture of the league and its players; the changing nature of the way the game is played and the debate about its safety; the latest tactical innovations driven by the analytics revolution; and the challenges the multi-billion-dollar business faces in maintaining its hold on the public after years of heady growth.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
