Job Details

The Telegraph needs a Social Media Editor for our new Puzzles subscriptions product with excellent social media and creative skills. This role will be responsible for proactively growing, engaging and managing our Puzzles community, creating and distributing content across a variety of social platforms, and driving Puzzles subscriptions.

Key responsibilities

  • Creating and editing video, graphic and written content to be distributed on social media channels
  • Growing and building strong communities on The Telegraph Puzzles platform and various social media platforms
  • Maintaining The Telegraph’s social media feeds to a high standard
  • Developing ideas, content plans and working with creators to generate engagement and Puzzles subscriptions
  • Monitoring and researching social media and puzzles trends, as well as emerging platforms, tools and channels
  • Using analytics tools to help inform social strategy
  • Working with Telegraph Editorial and Marketing teams to create content and campaigns
  • Championing Telegraph Puzzles subscribers both inside and outside of the business

Key skills

  • Worked in a social media role with a good understanding of content production
  • Strong knowledge of social media and has creative storytelling ideas to enhance our Puzzles product
  • Proven track record of building and nurturing engaged communities
  • Experienced in TikTok video production and community management
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • The ability to work comfortably both independently and as part of a team
  • Good at fostering and building relationships in person and online, individually and at scale
  • Proven ability to think outside of the box and go the extra mile in order to produce the very best results
  • A firm grasp of The Telegraph’s brands and journalistic values, both in digital and in print
  • Experience working with and/or an understanding of subscription-based business models
  • A genuine love of digital games and puzzles
