Learning Content Editor

Contract: 12-month fixed term contract
Starting salary: £39,873
Location: RCN HQ Central London

Closing date: 4 June 2023.

RCNi supports the work-life balance of our staff through our SMART Working policy outlining our approach to agile and flexible working.

We are RCNi, part of the Royal College of Nursing Group. We offer a unique source of nursing content across a range of media platforms. RCNi aims to provide nursing professionals worldwide with easy access to our peer-reviewed content, news, opinion, jobs, events, and awards. Now is a brilliant opportunity to join us at a new and exciting time.

We are recruiting to the newly created role of Learning content editor. This role will support the editorial team in the development of new content, as well as the updating and repurposing of existing content, for our online education platform, RCNi Learning.

RCNi Learning helps nurses and other healthcare professionals implement best practice and meet requirements for professional development.

We are looking for a great team worker who has excellent attention to detail, including superior editing and proofreading skills. You will have experience of online publishing, preferably for a provider of professional, scientific and/or educational content. Strong IT skills are essential. You will have experience of using content management systems for online publishing and knowledge of e-learning development using HTML and SCORM would be a distinct advantage.

The role will work with both internal and external stakeholders, including authors and reviewers, so good communication skills are a must, as is an understanding of the importance of deadlines.

RCNi has an office in central London but fully supports agile and flexible working practices. Please note, the role will involve some remote working.

Additional Benefits:

  • 28 days annual leave
  • Agile working
  • Excellent work pension scheme
  • Health and Fitness Allowance
  • Carer’s leave allowance
  • Cycle to work scheme

RCNi use Applied, a behavioural science-backed recruitment platform that reduces bias, improves quality of hire and increases diversity. Your application will be anonymously reviewed by our hiring team to ensure fairness.
