The Senior Account Director will be adept with working with clients at a strategic and operational level and play a hands-on role across all of his/her client accounts nurturing direct relationships and assist in the development of our client base.
You will oversee business development, day-to-day activity on your accounts and have the responsibility to pro-actively manage activity and media requirements. Experience in social media application is essential.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Pro-active client liaison, account development and relationship building.
- In depth knowledge of PR, with excellent writing skills. Experience within the pub, bar, food, drink and leisure sectors is an advantage.
- Ability to understand what makes a good story, the insight to spot one, and the implementation of skilled tactics to gain outstanding coverage for clients.
- The ability to create communications that deliver results through solid writing skills across a range of styles; press releases; features; case studies and new media applications such as blogs and Twitter.
- On-time reporting, and strong management of client activity.
- Active involvement in new business presentations.
- Ensure that client PR plans integrate with the overall marketing activity and strategic direction of the business, and proactively adapt plan to reflect change to business and market
- Manage client satisfaction; hold regular meetings/calls and keep key clients appraised of work progress, assess PR results against client expectations and maintaint positivie working relationship
- Develop and nurture relationships with senior media and influencers, networking to leverage coverage, networking for clients and business development purposes
- Event management and communication.
About You:
- A highly motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years public relations experience, preferably including agency side experience.
- Experience of working across multiple clients and juggling workloads of a team.
- Excellent client handling skills.
- Proven media relations experience and excellent media contacts.
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
- Team working and communication abilities essential, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions/judgement in consultation with management/directors

- Proficient working with Mac and MS Office programmes.
- Good knowledge of social media platforms.
