It also means means staying ahead of developments and trends at Wall Street firms like Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch; index giants MSCI and S&P Global; traditional discount brokers such as Fidelity, Schwab, and Vanguard, plus upstarts in the dynamic world of fintech. The asset management group will keep a close watch on the key players in the asset management industry, and find smart angles on developments and strategies that matter to investors, both for the day's important news and for longer-term enterprise.

This is a core coverage area for Barron's. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the industry, and a hunger to work with reporters to break news and deliver insightful enterprise. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to generate ideas and a familiarity with storytelling techniques.
