Job Description:

The Wall Street Journal is seeking an experienced journalist to write about the Federal Reserve and other central banks as well as the U.S. and global economies for WSJ Pro Central Banking. This is a three-month position.

You will author the daily newsletter, write insightful analysis and collaborate with others in the newsroom on coverage of central banks and monetary policymakers.

You will:

  • Write timely analyses of policy actions and speeches by central bank officials.
  • Break down economic data and untangle their meaning for a global audience.
  • Curate and take ownership of a daily newsletter.


You have:

 

  • Experience covering central banking and economics.
  • The ability to explain complex and sophisticated ideas in a clear manner, connecting them to the broader business environment in a compelling and useful way for the professional reader.
  • A proven ability to write clearly and analytically for a professional audience.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach to your work.
  • A passion for being part of The Wall Street Journal's fast-paced, global news organization, and meeting the highest standards of business journalism.

NYC Pay Range: $50,000 - $180,000
