Digital Features Editor - Harper’s Bazaar

United Kingdom

JOB DESCRIPTION

At Hearst UK, there’s always more to the story. Join us as Harper’s Bazaar’s digital features editor to start the next chapter in your career.

We’re the UK’s leading premium publisher, and the people behind iconic media brands such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Country Living. We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will write and commission daily features for the Harper’s Bazaar website and liaise with the print features team to ensure that all print opportunities and exclusives are maximised for digital gain. You will use their knowledge of SEO and analytics tools to help grow the Harper’s Bazaar online audience and digital revenue, and will support other members of the wider team with subbing, editing and optimising content. Reporting directly to the executive digital editor, you will also be required to represent the brand at various events and meetings with key stakeholders, as well as conducting interviews with celebrities and industry experts.

ABOUT YOU

This is a demanding role for an experienced features editor, who has an in-depth understanding of the luxury worlds of travel, culture, entertainment and lifestyle; a contacts book bursting with a diverse portfolio of writers to commission and luxury brands to work with; and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to breaking news and key events. You will have a proven track record of delivering engaging, thought-provoking and SEO-optimised copy, to deadline, for prestigious, upmarket publications, and be able to use data analytics tools to inform content forward-planning. You will have meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work both reactively and proactively.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Hearst UK, you can choose from a huge range of perks and benefits that can help you learn well, work well and live well including:

  • 25 days’ holiday (with the option to buy up to 5 additional holiday days)
  • Hybrid working – Two days per week in the office
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Spend a charity day with your favourite good cause
  • Life assurance and pension scheme
  • Regular socials and more!

There’s more to your story than you imagine. And the next chapter begins right here.
