We're looking for a driven and passionate individual to join us at Which? as our Senior Policy Researcher.

What you will be doing

Reporting to our Policy Research Manager, you will design, deliver and disseminate high quality research projects and analysis. Your work will provide a robust evidence base that will be used to support policy development across Which? and help us tackle consumer harm and drive positive change for consumers. 

You will also:

  • Identify and propose policy research projects based on internal priorities and the external policy and advocacy landscape to support Which?'s strategic objectives
  • Manage and deliver a wide range of high-quality consumer and policy research projects
  • Communicate the findings of research projects, effectively and creatively telling the story of your findings, both verbally and in writing
  • Support our high performance team by fostering an inclusive culture, supporting your colleagues and identifying improvements to team processes
  • Proactively establish positive relationships with colleagues across Which? and external stakeholders


What will you bring?

You will have:

  • Primary research expertise and experience in either quantitative research or qualitative research
  • Strong awareness of current affairs, policy and political developments, especially in consumer policy areas
  • Knowledge of research best practice, industry standards, data handling and compliance 
  • Experience of designing and managing multiple research projects concurrently to tight deadlines
  • Ability to provide clear and impactful analytical summaries both verbally and in writing to non-technical audiences and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse, appraise and use a range of relevant, credible information from internal and external sources to support decisions and influence research
  • Ability to manage complex projects and organise a busy project workload
