About the job

MailOnline, the world's largest English-language newspaper website with over 200 million monthly unique visitors globally, is looking for a Deputy Health Editor to join the London team.

At a time when Covid has taken over the news agenda and affected our lives in ways we thought unimaginable, it is our focus to keep informing our readers on all health-related matters.

Suitable candidates will already be well-established editors or reporters on national newspapers or websites, with an impressive track record of finding and breaking exclusive health stories of national and global interest.

Requirements include:

• Solid contacts book, full of leading experts from different medical fields
• Broad knowledge of all medical matters, from the state of the NHS to drug legislation and beyond
• Razor-sharp copy, ability to digest complex scientific papers and datasets
• Strong news sense, consistently able to sift out the best line for our readers

Previous digital experience is desired but not essential. Full training will be provided.
