Barron's is seeking an enterprising and newsy reporter to cover mutual funds and ETFs, writing daily online stories along with broader features.
This reporter would cover major developments at fund companies, including breaking news and in-depth articles about successful - and unsuccessful - funds and fund managers. With trillions of dollars of assets at stake, a key part of the beat will be helping readers and investors make sense of the thousands of fund and ETF choices, including how to spot promising funds and avoid the duds.
The successful candidate will have or develop sources who can lead the reporter to exclusive news and trends before the competition. This is a core coverage area for Barron's. Candidates will need to have knowledge of markets and business, and a hunger to break news, generate ideas, and deliver insightful enterprise. This journalist will be part of a hard-working and talented newsroom, so the willingness to collaborate is a must.
