Job Details

Metro.co.uk is looking for a talented Freelance Audience Development Producer to join their industry-leading team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Craft and send push notifications, including breaking news pushes
  • Pitch to platforms like Upday, Flipboard, Apple News and SmartNews
  • Feed back platform performance to editorial teams
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, identify trends in audience development and news consumption
  • Assist with newsletter development and deployment
  • Apply insights from analytical platforms to achieve editorial and commercial goals
  • Create engaging, visually led content that tells an intriguing narrative for platforms including MSN and Apple News
  • Be highly organized and able to work under tight deadlines

 

Essential skills:

  • Experience of work for a publication
  • Must have an understanding of media law and UK Editors’ Code of Practice
  • Excellent standards of written English
  • Excellent story-telling skills
  • Comfortable with using analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Must work productively within a team environment
  • Must have strong communications and people skills
