Overview of Position
You will support the creative and design needs of the Corporate Communications department. This position will help guide the Dow Jones visual identity and turn conceptual ideas into visual representation. The Sr. Graphic Designer is responsible for developing high-quality creative and ensuring brand consistency throughout all graphics produced by the department.
Location: New York City (Open to Remote Work)
You Will
- Report to the Sr. Manager, Creative and Editorial
- Conceptualize and design various materials for print and digital channels
- Translate business objectives and creative strategies into high-quality design
- Execute all stages of the design process from concept to completion
- Communicate design strategy and creative rationale to stakeholders
- Collaborate and brainstorm with business partners across the Corporate Communications department
- Update and maintain an internal database of design elements, including iconography, photography, templates, and other visual assets.
You Have
- 5-7 years of graphic design experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates exceptional visual storytelling skills
- Understanding of graphic design best practices and fundamentals (color theory, typography, imagery, etc.) for digital and print
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Solid attention to detail
- Organization and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
