Dezeen is looking for a bright and ambitious digital assistant with experience in web data analysis and knowledge of SEO to join its team in London.
Dezeen is the world’s most influential online architecture, design and interiors magazine, with three million readers a month.
We are looking for a digital assistant to support the digital and engagement team, which is responsible for delivering Dezeen’s social media, newsletter, comments and marketing strategies in order to grow our audiences and increase engagement across all our channels.
Reporting to the digital editor, the digital assistant’s core responsibility is to produce regular reports on traffic and engagement to Dezeen and our platforms, provide commentary to help explain changes in website traffic and user behaviour and make suggestions for how to increase content engagement.
- using tools including Google Analytics and Parse.ly to prepare regular stat reports and analysis on web traffic and other metrics
- using tools such as Moz to monitor Dezeen’s SEO performance, updating SEO metadata, fixing broken links and other tasks to boost SEO and grow organic traffic
- using tools such as Buzzsumo and Google Trends to identify potential new content ideas that will generate significant short- and long-term traffic for Dezeen
- assist the digital and engagement team with other tasks including comment moderation, social media scheduling and testing development deployments and bug fixes
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience doing a similar role and a track record of using data analysis to increase engagement or grow audiences.
They will be highly analytical and detail-orientated and enjoy working with data to spot trends and discover insights. They must also have strong writing skills and impeccable written English.
Knowledge of and experience using Google Analytics is essential.
Experience using Parse.ly, Moz, Buzzsumo or similar services would be an advantage. As would knowledge of WordPress and Yoast.
The position is based at Dezeen’s office in Hoxton, London, UK. However, we offer flexible and remote working opportunities to our team.
