We want an innovator who can analyze and wrangle data into stories, charts, interactive features and whatever the next cool thing is. We want someone who wants to stay on the cutting edge of data journalism (yes, you should be a journalist). We will invest in you: training, classes and conferences.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You will come up with and execute data analysis articles and projects. Sometimes you’ll lend a hand to our other reporters to create data visualizations. You might also be asked to spot-check work done by others in our collegial newsroom.
You’ll be helping cover two subject matter areas: the world of corporate governance — such as proxy voting trends, ESG and CEO pay, for example — and the life insurance industry. Knowledge of these fields is not necessary to be successful in the role, but the candidate should have an interest in learning about them and how they make the business world tick.

• Experience working as a journalist, preferably on a daily deadline.
• A track record of working successfully as part of a team.
• Strong ability to generate and pitch creative ideas.
• A detail-oriented, inquisitive nature, and being devoted to learning and improvement.
What’s in it For You? Our Culture & Benefits

Candidates should be aware that new employees will be required to be vaccinated by their start date, meaning they have received all of the recommended doses for either a one dose or two dose COVID-19 vaccine, and provide proof of vaccination status (e.g. CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card) , which will be kept confidential. We are an equal opportunity employer, and will provide a reasonable accommodation to those who are unable to be vaccinated due to a sincerely-held religious belief or a medical disability where it does not pose an undue hardship on the Company.
