Intern, Product Strategy Due Diligence London 2022

The Dow Jones Due Diligence Product Strategy team is seeking an agile, smart, energetic undergraduate or graduate student to join our team for Summer 2022. We're looking for someone with an interest in compliance and top-notch analytical skills. The intern will join our London based team under the Global Head of Diligence in the Product Strategy team and will have the opportunity to learn about an exciting and fast moving industry blending law, technology, data and research in one.

The successful candidate will be working closely with our Professional Information Business and Research Team and aid in analyzing business performance, the assessment of new products and their development as well as in stakeholder engagement across a large multinational company. If you are excited to learn about the growth of a DD business within a corporation, are curious about compliance and want to learn how we best help our clients then this internship may be for you!

Among the projects you may be working on are the following:

  • Conducting monthly win/loss analysis
  • Comprehensive review and analysis of client base to identify opportunities for growth
  • Review of Due Diligence Reports
  • Analyzing competitor products and positioning strategies
  • Completing detailed, day-to-day tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Supporting staff in assigned project-based work.

This internship will allow you to work closely with a number of stakeholders across Dow Jones and we are keen to offer you a space to learn and grow professionally during this experience.

We are looking for motivated candidates who are working towards a bachelor's or Master's degree with at least two years of school successfully completed. Applicants from all fields of education are welcome. The ideal candidate has an analytical and curious mindset, is a self starter and excited to take on new challenges.

We also require:

 

  • Compliance and/or Business background a plus- previous knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding Due Diligence preferred
  • Intellectually curious, willing to express thoughts freely
  • Superb Interpersonal, presentational and written skills
  • Excel skills a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • In addition to English other languages are a plus
  • Able to prioritise manage and execute tasks, while adhering to critical project timelines in a very fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop new approaches to complex problems and convey these solutions simply
  • A self-starter that is able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team
  • A team player who enjoys engaging with others and finding collaborative solutions.
