JOB PURPOSE

The Features Assistant & Sub-Editor supports the editorial director, interiors editor and managing editor with writing, sub-editing and the general smooth running of Country & Town House magazine and its associated supplements. The role consists of writing bi-monthly pages for the magazines across food, travel, culture and interiors, spotting trends and highlighting sustainability, as well as assisting with picture research and pitching exciting, on-the-pulse features and pages to the editor each issue. Additionally, the role is responsible for (some) sub-editing of the main magazine and supplements, project management and supporting the managing editor with ad-hoc tasks such as advertorials, uploading features to our website and responding to brand and PR requests.

This position is also the lead on interiors, supporting the Interiors Editor with the annual Interiors Book and design specials. As the interiors lead, you’ll also coordinate the monthly interiors newsletter, assist with projects like webinars and the Interiors Book launch and be responsible for updating the interiors content online and creating new content to drive our digital interiors traffic.
