Job Description:Barron's is seeking an experienced journalist who can write compelling enterprise and news analysis and develop exclusives about one of the most powerful and compelling sectors in the economy: Technology. This is a critical beat at Barron's. The ideal candidate should be ready to offer insights on day-to-day developments in the tech world, from both a business and investing perspective. Some of those stories will become deeper features, helping to set the agenda on important topics from regulation and privacy to innovation and competition. Analyzing Big Tech platforms, in particular, as well as their impact on society and financial markets will be a key theme underlying the coverage.

The reporter should be well sourced in Silicon Valley and/or Wall Street. This journalist will be part of a hard-working and talented technology team, so the willingness to collaborate is a must. Requirements:

-Well sourced with the executives and personalities that drive the tech industry.

-Able to generate quick and long-form ideas and excited about writing on deadline and both immediate publication and longer deadlines

-Familiarity with corporate balance sheets and financial valuations

-Comfortable using deep reporting and analysis to take a strong view about stocks and/or trends driving the industry

-Comfortable engaging with audiences on video, podcasts, and at conferences

-Able to translate big product announcements, regulatory talk, innovation, startup news, IPO filings and more into language that's useful for ordinary readers and public-market investors
