As a Pricing Analyst supporting our Live Journalism business , you will play a critical role in maximizing yield and pricing across our Live Journalism suite of events. Working in conjunction with the Planning & Pricing, Live Journalism, and Dow Jones Finance team, the Analyst will manage our events pricing model ensuring buying trends, sell through, and variable costs are accounted for.

As a Pricing Analyst supporting our Live Journalism business , you will play a critical role in maximizing yield and pricing across our Live Journalism suite of events. Working in conjunction with the Planning & Pricing, Live Journalism, and Dow Jones Finance team, the Analyst will manage our events pricing model ensuring buying trends, sell through, and variable costs are accounted for.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Live Events team to ensure inventory and elements are correctly captured and integrated into the pricing model. Fully own the model and continue to develop enhancements ensure it properly encompasses the business.
- Maintain and update the events pricing model and ensure all teams are working from one source of truth
- Work closely with the Pricing Optimization Manager to identify inventory trends and develop quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports and models that will inform pricing decisions
- Work directly with internal Salesforce architects to ensure inventory management ecosystem is fully developed and optimized to capture data requirements.
- Distribute regular reporting that provides a holistic view of inventory, and sell-through metrics
- Monitor inventory and sell-through rates in order to maximize yield and offer suggestions for inventory packaging
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions that help to provide efficiency within the Revenue Operations team, including the development of tools, processes, systems and reports
- Create and maintain processes and best practices documentation
- Partner with pricing optimization manager to support digital product pricing and analysis on an ad hoc basis
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of systems including of SalesForce, Salesforce Data Studio, Data Warehouse,Tableau preferred
- Expert level Excel modeling experience preferred
- Knowledge of BigQuery and SQL a plus
- Strong capacity to work with internal partners to improve processes and develop best practices.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
- Must be detail oriented and highly motivated
- BA/BS College degree required.
