Do you want to be a big part of a dynamic online publishing group, editing and writing about one of the most exciting and dynamic parts of the global investment world? Family Capital is looking to hire a managing editor to oversee its coverage of the global family enterprise/investment office world.

Family Capital, famcap.com, is a UK-based online publication covering the global family enterprise world. Its subscribers manage investments worth a total of $2 trillion. It includes family offices and principal investment offices owned by the world’s wealthiest individuals.

These groups take a low profile, but they have become increasingly powerful and influential in capital markets. They are playing a pivotal role in private equity, real estate and venture capital worlds.

Family Capital brings unique insights to this sector. It is read and respected by many of the world’s wealthiest people, as well as their trusted advisers.

The role

The Managing Editor will oversee our coverage, provide news, news analysis, and features to appear on the website and go out on our bi-weekly newsletter. 

He or she will work with the existing editor in generating ideas and themes for coverage on the website. 

Beyond editing and writing, the successful candidate will help us develop growth opportunities including podcasts and webinars. Given the nature of the subject, the candidate will need to be able to converse competently with billionaires as well as senior members in the world’s of private equity, venture capital, and finance. 

Your duties and responsibilities would include:

  • Writing, editing, and sourcing stories, interviewing, writing them up, and promoting them on social media
  • Promoting Family Capital through social media, etc
  • Chairing webinars/conferences
  • Take full responsibility for the overall editorial side of the business

This is a senior role and Family Capital will pay the successful candidate a very competitive salary, plus share options, in a business whose turnover grew % last year.

We have a work from home ethos, but we also hold regular face-to-face meetings in our central London office. The vacancy is open to all ages, with part-time working a possibility.
