Job Description:

Dow Jones is seeking an experienced full-time Corporate Paralegal to join the Dow Jones Legal Department in New York. In addition to serving as a corporate paralegal, a small portion of this role will provide general support to the General Counsel.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

∙ Preparation, review and negotiation of commercial contracts, including subscription, vendor, advertising insertion orders, sponsorships and non-disclosure agreements.

∙ Review of marketing materials and advertising creative for legal compliance.

∙ Maintenance of sales and vendor contract forms.

∙ Assistance with managing contract database.

∙ Preparation and review of global corporate governance filings and materials.

∙ Corporate governance monitoring and controls.

∙ Provide other paralegal support to corporate and commercial Legal teams as needed.

∙ Provide general support to the General Counsel, including maintaining/organizing calendar, travel, expenses, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• A paralegal certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience as a corporate paralegal at a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to simultaneously manage workloads, multiple demands and shifting priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment, while working efficiently in a team as well as independently.
• Self-motivated individual who is willing to learn and problem solve, exhibits good judgment, shows attention to detail, and has a positive attitude.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. as well as Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
