JOB DESCRIPTION

At Hearst UK, there’s always more to the story. Join us as Red’s Deputy Digital Editor to start the next chapter in your career.

We’re the UK’s leading premium publisher, and the people behind iconic media brands such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Good Housekeeping. We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.

As Red's Deputy Digital Editor, you’ll be working within Hearst’s Lifestyle Hub on one of its most popular titles. This is a key role and an exciting opportunity for an existing deputy digital editor, section editor or senior digital writer who has writing, commissioning, editing and newsletter experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working with Red's Digital Editor, you'll help run the site day to day, and develop and execute Red’s digital strategy, increasing traffic and e-commerce revenue. This will include contributing to Red's weekly newsletters to drive traffic and new sign-ups, and helping manage all social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. You’ll write daily news and features, and commission content across key pillars.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll ideally already have strong experience working for a high-profile digital lifestyle or luxury brand, either at deputy level or as a section editor or senior digital writer. Proven experience of e-commerce is essential for this role as is an understanding of how to execute a newsletter strategy aimed at an engaged audience. A keen interest in Red’s key pillars, including fashion, beauty, interiors, wellness and culture, is a must. A strong understanding of SEO is essential.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Hearst UK, you can choose from a huge range of perks and benefits that can help you learn well, work well and live well including:

  • 25 days’ holiday (with the option to buy up to 5 additional holiday days)
  • Flexible working – we’re happy to discuss options!
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Spend a charity day with your favourite good cause
  • Life assurance and pension scheme
  • Regular socials and more

Company

Our brilliant employees are what makes Hearst a driving force for innovation.

People join us because they love our brands, but they stay because we are a company that nurtures passion and creativity, all while striving towards a shared goal of excellence and originality.

We are looking to recruit exceptionally talented individuals, who not only have a chance to shape our friendly and creative culture, but work with world-class brands and mould their own careers in a truly unique environment.
