Job Description:

The Wall Street Journal is looking for a senior business reporter to cover energy and the global transition to a lower-carbon economy.

The escalating efforts to reduce the threat of global warming are transforming business, finance, economics and trade, representing a major transfer of wealth and reshuffling of the economic and geopolitical world order.

We're looking for an experienced journalist who can break news and deliver revealing, thought-provoking narratives on the big-picture business ramifications of this historic transition-intended and unintended. Prior experience covering energy or the lower-carbon transition is a plus. You should have a proven ability to develop sources, master complex topics and write authoritatively. We're looking for someone who is eager to pursue myriad forms of storytelling. The beat also requires close cooperation with reporters in London, New York, Washington and elsewhere around the world.

While you may start remotely, you will be based in Houston, America's energy capital and fourth-largest city. You will report to Miguel Bustillo, U.S. Energy Editor.
