Job Description:
Financial News, the leading publisher for the banking and investment industries in the City of London, is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic part time photo editor to oversee our London-based publication Financial News.
We are looking for an innovative photo editor at Financial News who will be responsible for photo editing across print and digital on Monday and Tuesday and will cover for the picture editor (who works Wednesday-Friday) when he's away. The role is crucial to the publication as photos are essential for the print publication and photos on the website are important for SEO and building reader engagement on social media. The role would also involve coming up with picture ideas for the front page, splashes on the website and the weekly long read, and also commission illustrations for FN's weekly An Audience With. The ideal candidate will have experience working across print and digital and assisting editors on making stories visually compelling.

Key Responsibilities
- Works two days a week (Monday, Tuesday) to prepare the weekly print magazine
- Works closely with Chief Production Editor to execute their vision
- Choose photos
- Create graphics
- Crop photos
- Adapt photos that have been used online for the print publication
- Occasional online work will be required
Key Skills Required:
- Digital creation
- Financial and business media work experience
- The candidate will have photo-editing experience in print and online. Knowledge of commonly used photo editing and charting software is a must
