Editor & Research Analyst

Key responsibilities:

  • Originate compelling knowledge output including research, analysis, articles, reports, workshops and presentations
  • Develop and deliver DataIQ research programme
  • Develop and deliver learning material and courses for e-learning and F2F training
  • Develop and deliver knowledge programme (conferences and events) and reports
  • Support discussions at DataIQ roundtables and other events

The Editor & Research Analyst will report to the Knowledge and strategy director. The role also involves close liaison with the Head of member development for DataIQ Leaders, our membership service, as well as our Commercial director, events manager and marketing manager. You will be working with a highly-motivated, agile and enthusiastic team within a fast-growing business at the heart of the key industry of the 21st Century - data.

KNOWLEDGE  DEVELOPMENT

  • thorough research ability and determination to get to primary sources
  • familiarity with market research and ability to draw out insights from data
  • structured thinking and argument in clear, concise language
  • ability to identify teachable points
  • ability to explain complex issues in direct, simple and engaging terms
  • ability to form and articulate the DataIQ view on all matters data

KNOWLEDGE DELIVERY

  • skillset to include both digital and in-person facilitation
  • ability to create instant empathy with audience
  • confidence in front of senior executives
  • ability to “read the room” and maintain attention and engagement
  • authority and willingness to engage with questions

LEARNING DELIVERY

  • ability to write, build and deliver data “soft skills” training courses for e-learning and F2F
  • incorporate new topics, understand market requirements and competition
  • create compelling learning outcomes and measures of success
  • incorporate feedback, develop course programme.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

  • some familiarity with data and analytics or technology (3+ years experience preferable)
  • desire to be part of up-skilling and expansion of data and analytics skills across business
  • familiarity with recognised training and coaching techniques
