Overview
We are looking to recruit multiple Equity Research Reporting Analysts to our London team as we expand our coverage to help capitalise on strong growth across both our research offering and client base. Your primary responsibility will be analysing qualitative and quantitative information on companies to produce written primary research reports aimed at private and public equity investors.
In order to do this, you will be required to identify and cultivate relationships with relevant subject-matter experts and industry sources across the world in order to conduct high-level research that is able to add value and provide an informational edge to some of the world's largest private and public equity investors.
You may have to spend considerable time reaching out to people via phone or email and assessing whether they possess the information that will allow you to produce either top-down or bottom-up analysis of a company or sector.
As part of the role, you may be working on several client requests at once and will quickly develop efficient project management and communication skills, while also being able to communicate your understanding effectively to some of the largest institutional investors in the world.
A newly hired Equity Research Reporting Analyst will be responsible for:

Writing quarterly research reports on companies that are of interest to our clients.

Identifying and connecting with relevant industry experts to cultivate long lasting relationships with.

Collating, organising, and analysing qualitative/quantitative information.

Writing equity research reports and presenting findings comprehensively.

Updating and keeping track of news flow on specific companies including earnings releases as well as industry inflection points.

Answering client queries on data via email, over the phone or in person.

Suggest updates to survey questionnaires based on company and industry news and developments.

Identify and research new companies to cover.

Cultivate a new business development pipeline to grow client coverage.

Pitch innovative new product offerings to our clients.
Requirements
Successful candidates will possess the following:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.

Eligible to work in the UK.
-
A passion for Equity analysis and the stock market.
-
Competency at report writing including presentation, formatting, editing, producing charts and graphics.

An excellent eye for detail, quality and consistency to ensure the highest possible professional standards for reports.

A proven track record in managing and completing multiple projects to tight deadlines whilst still maintaining a high level of quality.

The ability to build a rapport and develop lasting relationships with subject experts met either through cold calling or email.

Be driven and ambitious with the motivation to take on additional responsibilities should the opportunity arise.

1-3 years experience in investment banking (Equity Research, M&A) asset management or consulting firms is required.
