Job Details

The Wall Street Journal is looking for a columnist to write a reported column about the quirks, realities and frustrations of the workplace today.

This regular column would give a voice to workers far from the C-suite. You would report what it's like on the front lines, from offices to factory floors, to implement the latest business-school fads dictated by upper management.

Among the many topics to explore: working from home vs. inside the office, life in the gig economy, demands on productivity, the challenges of incorporating technology into work, the transition in management from baby boomers to millennials, professional relationships, mental health issues and more.

The column should be based on reporting but we invite humor, voice and a point of view. You would report to the Life & Arts coverage chief, Lisa Bannon.

Please click 'APPLY' to upload your résumé, a cover letter explaining how you would approach the column, and examples of your work by Aug. 21.
