European Business Awards, Business Content & News Editor (Homeworking)

The European Business Awards is creating a new initiative in the form of a website and app to act as a business hub, to provide businesses with knowledge sharing, advice, inspiration and act as a news platform in light of the Covid-19 crisis.

We're looking for a Content and News Editor with experience in the business sector, including SEO-optimised content pages.

The European Business Awards is the largest business awards in Europe, currently in its 13th year we have an audience of over 110,000 engaged companies, have generated 7,000 items of coverage in digital media and over €18m in media coverage.

This work is a full-time paid position, to start immediately, initially for the period of 2-3 months with the potential to go permanent

Responsibilities:

• Editing online content pieces to a high standard, to deadline and to brief
• Experienced in managing a team of freelance journalists
• Experience working directly with web and app designers
• Create and commission briefs for new articles, manage updates and re-writes
• Monitor performance and progress of initiatives
• Skilled in editing and writing, as well as confident technically in making sure the website performs well and is integrated with the organisation's other digital channels.
