Behind the Headlines with…Tali Mackay

My ideal day is… knowing I’ve made a difference – to my family, friends, H+K, and clients.
What made me want to get into PR was... the desire to help companies communicate in ways that lead to people making healthy choices.
Five words that describe me... opinionated, industrious, driven, loyal, funny.
The PR figure I most admire is... whoever the client is at the next new business pitch.
I always thought I’d be… a doctor.
I’m at my best when… my to-do list is long.
My most prized possession is… photo albums of my kids as babies (pre-digital days).
I’m a closet reader of… history books.
You don’t want to be around me when... I’ve had too much coffee.
The most interesting fact about me is... I worked in a lock-down psych ward during graduate school - that was quite memorable.
My favorite PR moment was... trying to get media traction for a client that had only 3% of the market of a me-too product. I finally pitched the Playboy Channel with great success.

What one thing do you want to accomplish by the end of 2014? Accelerate the growth of the U.S. healthcare practice at H+K while continuing to mentor staff in achieving their professional goals.
What do you hope will happen today? Get more than 4 hours of sleep.
